Bringing Relief, Resources, and Hope to Eaton Fire Survivors
San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Pasadena ReStore welcomed fire survivors and community members on October 25th for another Fire Survivor Event, continuing its commitment to helping Altadena families recover and rebuild after the devastating Eaton Fire.
The event welcomed over 150 attendees, offering survivors access to discounted furniture, home goods, and rebuilding materials as they work to restore their homes and lives. Through the event, mattresses and air fryers donated by Neighborhood Survants were raffled free of charge to fire survivors, while ReStore sales totaled nearly $10,000 supporting SGV Habitat’s ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts.
Launched in 2025, the Pasadena ReStore’s Fire Survivor Program helps families stretch limited recovery resources reacquiring essential household items and materials needed to rebuild. For many survivors, recovery means more than repairing a structure—it means replacing furniture, bedding, kitchenware, cabinets, doors, and countless everyday necessities lost in the fire.
As Altadena continues its recovery, SGV Habitat remains committed to helping fire-impacted families regain stability and return home. The Pasadena ReStore’s Fire Survivor Program is one more way the organization is turning community support into meaningful, tangible assistance—one family, one home, and one essential item at a time.
