The Director of Programs is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and exercises independent judgement in the development and implementation of SGV Habitat’s services to the community. This includes leadership of one or more direct reports, setting department and affiliate goals in concert with the Senior Leadership Team and in support of the strategic plan, ensuring first-rate client support throughout their program partnership, troubleshooting and course correction when needed, and tracking, analyzing, and reporting department results to Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors.

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for leadership, construction and timely completion of San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity residential buildings while utilizing substantial volunteer labor to accomplish projects within defined schedules and budgets. Learns and shares the mission of Habitat for Humanity. Provides direct supervision of projects and ensures goals established by the Executive Director and the Project Manager are achieved.

Resource Development Internship

Build your resume while making a major impact on the housing crisis in the San Gabriel Valley.

You and your internship are important to us and we want to make sure you get the most out of your experience. You will have a professional staff mentor guide you through designing and executing projects which give you experience by putting your academic knowledge into practice.

All interns can expect to receive a thorough orientation about Habitat for Humanity, have access to our Senior Leadership Team and professional staff for networking and discussions, and receive direct training with the department(s) relevant to your internship projects. At the end of your internship, you will be able to compile a portfolio of your successes and learning and have a myriad of outcomes to share with future interviewers.

We pride ourselves on creating meaningful, life-changing experiences for our Habitat HomeBuyers and Volunteers – our interns deserve this as well. Below are areas for potential projects and/or areas of learning for our interns, and if you have other ideas and we can ethically accommodate you, we will!
