SGV Habitat Homeowners and Staff Featured in New James Hardie Documentary!
Altadena rebuilding efforts are receiving well-deserved recognition! Several SGV Habitat homeowners and staff members are featured in a new documentary created by James Hardie in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, highlighting the importance of resilient housing, community, and rebuilding after disaster.
The documentary premiered at events in New York and Los Angeles as part of the launch of James Hardie’s new master brand. At the Los Angeles event, SGV Habitat CEO Bryan Wong joined Habitat Humanitarian Jonathan Scott as a panelist to discuss resilience, recovery, and the future of housing. Their conversation highlighted the challenges communities face after disasters and the importance of building stronger, more resilient homes for families.
Ahead of the launch, SGV Habitat welcomed members of James Hardie’s communications and advocacy team to tour Altadena rebuild sites. The visit offered a firsthand look at the progress being made and the collaborative efforts helping Eaton Fire survivors rebuild their lives and return home.
James Hardie has been an invaluable partner in Altadena recovery efforts, committing to provide siding, decking, and trim products for the first 25 households rebuilding with SGV Habitat. This generous support helps us build durable, resilient homes while bringing families one step closer to recovery.
We invite donors, board members, and supporters to watch the documentary, hear directly from homeowners, and celebrate the incredible work happening across our organization.
