On August 18th, SGV Habitat’s Laura Ealy, Senior Director, Housing and Community, and Lauri Label, Housing Recovery Manager, attended the Resiliency Company Founders Forum, joining leaders and innovators working across the rebuilding, disaster recovery, and relief sectors.
The forum provided an important opportunity to share ideas, build relationships, and learn from others who are helping communities prepare for and recover from disruption. Forums that bring together founders, thought leaders, and other change-makers can be especially valuable because they create space for meaningful conversations, collaboration, and the exchange of new ideas.
As part of the event, Laura presented “Rebuilding with Resilience,” highlighting SGV Habitat’s rebuild program and the importance of collaboration in helping communities recover. Rebuilding after a disaster is about more than restoring homes—it is about bringing together organizations, community members, volunteers, and partners to create a stronger path forward.
For SGV Habitat, the forum was also an opportunity to connect face-to-face with many of the movers and shakers in the rebuilding and relief world. These relationships can help strengthen partnerships, open doors to new resources, and bring fresh perspectives to the work we do in our communities.
Resilience is built through preparation, adaptability, and—perhaps most importantly—people working together. By participating in conversations like these, SGV Habitat continues to strengthen its network and explore new ways to support families and communities as they rebuild.
We are grateful for the opportunity to represent SGV Habitat and share our commitment to resilient communities.
