Up to $100,000 to Help Build an ADU
If your Altadena property was affected by the Eaton Fire, an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) could be an important step toward recovery.
The Infill ADU Grant Program provides $100,000 grants to eligible households to help build an ADU while creating more affordable housing opportunities in the community.
In partnership with Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), Los Angeles County, and San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity.
$100,000 Toward Building Your ADU
Each eligible household may receive a $100,000 grant to build an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU).
For homeowners recovering from the Eaton Fire, an ADU can provide another option as you determine the best path forward for your property.
Choose a Pre-Approved ADU Design
LA County Planning has partnered with developers to create a catalog of pre-approved ADU designs. There are more than 25 approved plans, including designs from SGV Habitat.
Do You Qualify?
Your property must:
- Be located in certain Eaton Fire-affected census tracts in unincorporated Altadena
- Be located in an Urban Infill Area
