Women ReBuild 2025
Women Build has long been San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity’s signature event, empowering women and their allies to develop construction skills while building and repairing homes for families in need. More than an opportunity to pick up a hammer, Women Build has always been a movement to raise awareness and take action for affordable housing.
In 2025, that movement took on an even deeper meaning.
In response to the devastation of the Eaton Fire, which resulted in the loss of more than 9,000 structures, the event was reimagined as Women ReBuild—a powerful call to action focused on recovery, resilience, and rebuilding. For more than 30 years, SGV Habitat has built homes across the San Gabriel Valley, and in 2025, that legacy continued as we stood alongside the Altadena community to help restore what was lost.
After being postponed due to heavy rains in March, Women ReBuild 2025 officially wrapped up in May. Throughout the season, volunteers showed up in incredible ways—on build sites in El Sereno, through hands-on construction, and behind the scenes supporting hospitality, logistics, and daily operations. From early morning stretches and moments of connection to full days on site, each contribution helped move this work forward.
