Thank You CSULA Women’s Basketball Team & United Women in Faith!
On November 16th, about 30 volunteers from CSULA’s Women’s Basketball Team and United Women in Faith came together in El Sereno for a Build Day with SGV Habitat. The basketball team’s head coach shared the following reflection:
“The women’s basketball team had the incredible opportunity to serve the community alongside one of the world’s most impactful organizations, Habitat for Humanity. This meaningful experience was made even more special by the support of our university’s Vice President and Ahkiel White from Morgan Stanley, whose involvement underscored the importance of our collaboration.
Through this partnership, we have successfully blended on-court success with community engagement, demonstrating the values that define our university. This initiative reflects our commitment to making a difference beyond the game, and we are excited to continue working with Habitat for Humanity throughout the year.
A special thank you to Coach Kameron McClinton, whose leadership has been pivotal in driving this effort forward. His dedication, along with the passion of our Golden Eagles women’s basketball program, inspires us to soar higher and make a meaningful difference.”
Thank You Innovate Marketing!

The company is celebrating their 10th anniversary and decided that partnering with SGV Habitat, building a home, was a way they wanted to celebrate this milestone.
“We recognize that we are not just putting up siding and painting walls today, we feel gratitude that we can contribute to building a safe place for families to come home to after a long day,” CEO Amanda Ma expressed. “I can imagine when this home is complete, the families walking through the house with tears in their eyes, knowing they finally have a place of their own to call home.”
