working as a construction volunteer is a great option if you’d like to meet and network with other community members while learning new practical skills in a low–pressure setting.
Tasks can include activities like landscaping, fence building, siding and painting.
what to expect
For a typical construction day these are in the pre-instructions you will be given:
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
All volunteers are required to electronically sign a liability waiver before the event (minors will need to have this signed by a parent or guardian).
As we are building in residential areas most of our sites offer street parking only. Please follow all posted street signs and we encourage you to carpool as we cannot guarantee parking spots in the immediate area.
A typical workday begins about 7:45 am with safety instructions and tasks for the day. It ends around 4 pm.
Tasks range on what needs to be done for the day – it could be painting, framing, landscaping, cleanup or something new.
